Regenerative Therapies – How where we “came from” informs where we are going and how we can maximize outcomes.
Dr. Anderson was originally trained in an allopathic internship to do inter-articular and orthopedic injections by general surgeons, orthopedists and radiologists. He performed many of his first injections in hospitals either by “landmarks” or using radiological guidance. He then came upon the work of Janet Travell, MD, Henry Cyriax, MD (and many others) and began to perform trigger point injections, Acupuncture, “Dry-needle” techniques and many other things. What most do NOT know is that he was trained at the tail-end of the “sclerotherapy” movement that pre dated Prolotherapy. This brief but enlightening session will discuss what we thought we were doing, what we learned, where we went and how modern regenerative medicine is a (much needed) extension of these pioneering works.
