Biography

Paul G. Harch, M.D. is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Section of Emergency Medicine
at LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans, a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University
School of Medicine, and a magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University
of California, Irvine. Dr. Harch maintains academic and private practices where he has
adapted the concepts of conventional hyperbaric oxygen therapy to wounds in the central
nervous system. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Hyperbaric Medicine and
the Board of Certification in Emergency Medicine of the American Board of Physician
Specialties. Dr. Harch’s clinical experience through 2018 spans 34 years in hospital-based
emergency medicine and over 30 years of hyperbaric medicine. He has trained in general
surgery, radiology, diving, and hyperbaric medicine. In recognition of his accomplishments
in clinical practice, teaching, and research he was awarded fellowship status in the
American College of Hyperbaric Medicine in 1997.

He has presented his research seven times to the U.S. Congress and been nominated
for the NIH Director’s Pioneer Award. In April, 2007 he published the Oxygen Revolution
with co-author Virginia McCullough. This groundbreaking book, which has been released
in its third printing, second updated edition in 2/2012, explains HBOT and its projected
revolutionary effects on medicine and neurology.
